Camping FAQs

About Camping:

Q: Will there be transportation options in the campgrounds?
A:

Yep! Shuttles will operate to and from the campgrounds continuously from 1:00 PM – 1:30 AM on Thursday-Saturday and 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM on Sunday. Festi-Cab will also be operating on-site for $5 per seat, and can be contacted at 918-381-5592 to arrange rides.

Q: How many people are allowed per campsite?
A:

We have no limit on the number of people per campsite, but would recommend between 4-6 people for a comfortable stay.

Q: How far is it from the campgrounds to the festival?
A:

Depending on the type of camping purchased, the walk varies from just a few minutes to twenty minutes. These walking times and the location of each campground are indicated on our festival map. There is also a free shuttle bus route that runs in between the different campgrounds and the main festival grounds as shown on the map.

Q: Where are the different campgrounds located?
A:

Depending on the type of camping and specific campsite number purchased, your campsite will be within one of our three campgrounds. Check out our festival map to see the location of each campground.

Q: What is the size of each campsite?
A:

Campsite sizes depend on the type of campsite you choose to purchase and are as follows:

  • Standard Campsite – 20’X 30′
  • Standard Quiet Campsite – 20’X 30′
  • Standard Long Campsite – 20’X40′
  • Standard Electrical Campsite – 20’X 30′
  • Premier Campsite – 20’X40′
  • VIP Campsite – 20’X40′
Q: Can I park a car in my campsite?
A:

Within each campsite, you can park one steering mechanism and one sleeping unit; a drive-able RV counts as both. If you need to park additional vehicles (motorcycles included), you’ll want to purchase a Campground Overflow Parking Pass.

Q: Are campsites available with electrical hookups?
A:

We have a very limited number of 50-amp electrical campsites available in our standard camping section close to the campgrounds. You will need to purchase an electrical site if you would like electricity. Otherwise, we recommend bringing a generator.

Q: Are accessible campsites available?
A:

We do offer accessible camping in Row(s) G and H in the quiet camping section of the Standard Campground. If you need assistance ordering tickets for the accessible area, please call us at 855-821-9210.

Q: Can I rent my own port-o-potties?
A:

Personal port-o-potties are available to rent and will be delivered to your campsite upon arrival. Based on availability, these can be purchased on our ticketing site as an “add on” to your campsite. Upon arrival, please call our porta potty company to have them deliver your personal unit to your site. Note that deliveries can take between 1-2 hours during busy time. We recommend bringing a lock to keep others out of your personal unit.

Q: Are there showers available?
A:

Showers are available for all campers for free at the front of the Quiet Campgrounds and in the back of Standard Camping by row TTT.

Q: Is there Quiet Camping this year?
A:

Due to enforcement of Quiet Camping hours being an issue in the past, we have removed this option from this year’s event. Please respect your fellow campers.

Q: Are generators allowed?
A:

Yes generators are allowed in the campgrounds, but they must be turned off during quiet hours. If you have an onboard generator, consider buying a generator exhaust kit (like this one) to route the CO2 out of your own and surrounding campsites. Generators must be separated from all tents by a minimum of twenty (20) feet and protected from contact by fencing or other approved means.

Q: Are bonfires allowed?
A:

Unfortunately for safety reasons, no campfires or open flames are allowed. If you plan to bringing a grill, it must be Electric or Gas fueled and sit at least 12 inches above the ground or any vegetation.  No solid fuel grills (i.e. charcoal, wood, etc.) are allowed.

Q: How do I get water at my campsite?
A:

There will be a water truck assigned to each area within the campgrounds. Once you are ready to have your RV or pool filled, you can flag them down to fill.

Q: How do I get my RV waste pumped out?
A:

United Site Services can be flagged down on-site to pump your RV’s septic tank or if you are having a Port-a-Potty delivered to your campsite.

General Camping Policies

  • All vehicles MUST have their camping/parking decal on their windshield for proper display. Vehicles without their decal properly affixed to your windshield are at risk of tow at owner’s expense.
  • Within each campsite, you can park one steering mechanism and one sleeping unit; a drive-able RV counts as both. Any additional vehicles will need a pass to park in the Campground Overflow parking lot.

  • Your camper or RV must fit entirely in your campsite; if it does not fit, you must purchase multiple sites.
  • A 2:00 AM curfew is strictly enforced in the VIP, Premier, and Standard campgrounds; A 1 AM curfew is strictly enforced in Quiet Standard campgrounds.
  • No vending is allowed in the campground. Violators will be removed from the premises. No exceptions.
  • Secure your campsite – Country Jam is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.

    • Standard: 20×30
    • Standard Long: 20×40
    • Standard Quiet: 20×30 (1AM curfew)
    • Standard Electric: 20×30 (50amp)

Safety & Health Regulations

All RVs and vehicles in the campgrounds must have at least 10 feet of separation from each other including slide outs. Group camps (i.e. campers with a group of two or more campsites) MUST fit within the designated and assigned space purchased and can not be in any road way (including all tow vehicles).

If you choose to line the outside of your sites with RVs and create a common space in the center, you must allow for emergency access to the center area in the form of two 10-foot openings at opposite ends of your camp. This will be strictly enforced by campground security and local EMS.

All generators must be properly vented away from sleeping units, including tents and RV’s. Generators must be separated from tents by a minimum of 20 feet and protected from contact by fencing or other approved means. If you have an onboard generator, consider buying a generator exhaust kit (like this one) to route the CO2 out of your own and surrounding campsites.

Please ensure that your RV is equipped with a working carbon-monoxide detector. The festival will have safety staff monitoring the placement of generators to ensure that it is safely exhausting harmful fumes away from enclosed sleeping areas. If not, then safety staff with require you to either move, shut down or properly vent your exhaust.

All camping is primitive. Drinking water, port-o-potties, and garbage disposal are provided.

Security/Emergencies

Security is provided by Mesa County Sheriff’s Department and Country Jam Security.

Citations will be issued for violations. Drinking age of 21+ will be enforced.

In the event of severe weather, a warning will be issued by patrol cars. Please follow instructions given. If you need to be notified for an emergency, your family must contact the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.

Fill Up Your Pool/RV

There will be water trucks assigned to a certain area of the campground.  Once you have the pool ready for water, you can flag them down to fill. The cost to fill a pool is approximately $125 per 1,000 gallons.

Pump Out Service/Port-A-Potty Delivery

United Site Services can be contacted on-site at 970-989-3934 to pump your RV’s septic tank or if you are having a Port-a-Potty delivered to your campsite.

Curfew

A 2:00 AM curfew will be enforced in all campgrounds. Please respect your fellow campers.

Generators must be shut off at 2:00 AM.

Security officers have the authority to ask any person or groups of people who are abusing the noise curfew to leave the grounds without a refund. All state and local laws will be enforced by law enforcement personnel.

Campfires

No campfires or open flames will be allowed. If you are bringing a grill, all grills must be at least 12 inches above the ground or any vegetation. No solid fuel grills (i.e. charcoal, wood, etc.) are allowed. Propane grills only, charcoal grills are not permitted as they are a fire hazard.

Generators

All generators should be vented above the height of your camping unit using an exhaust kit especially if there are people camping in tents near your generator. Please make sure your RV is equipped with a CO detector and if your neighbor is running a generator make sure they are properly venting it.

Large RVs

Our campsites are all 20 feet wide and either 30 or 40 feet deep depending on where you have purchased your site. Your RV must fit in your designated space. If you have an RV longer than 30 or 40 feet you MUST purchase two sites back-to-back to pull through. All roads in the campgrounds are considered fire lanes and must be kept clear at all times.
